A significant certificate has been awarded to Tomas Bata University in Zlín (TBU) by the European Commission. Towards the end of the last year TBU received the ECTS Label. The ECTS Label is the most prestigious European certificate awarded in the sphere of tertiary education.
Eva Jiřičná, a world-renowned architect and the author of the University Centre, has been awarded the 2013 Jane Drew Prize in Great Britain for her outstanding contribution to the status of women in architecture.

A tourism product entitled “Zlín - Town with a History”, whose authors are the Halls of Residence and Refectory of Tomas Bata University in Zlín and the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra, has received a special award from the C.O.T. media.
