In the sphere of science and applied research, the University Institute specializes in:

• Project preparation and coordination of activities orientated towards building and running a business incubator and technology parks
• Building business clusters
• Supporting creative and innovation activities

Research and development activities of the University Institute within the Centre of Polymer Systems consist of two research programmes, namely Advanced Processing of Progressive Polymer Systems and Preparation of Advanced Polymer Composite Systems. These programmes involve joint research and development projects implemented in cooperation with companies, elaboration of analyses and expert studies, optimization of technological processes optimized, provision of counselling and consulting services.
