Terms and Conditions
Applicants for studies in a LL programme are admitted by the organizer – TBU, based on prerequisites set in advance and ensuing from Act No. 111/1998 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions, § 48 to 50, and after submission of the compulsory application form. The application form is part of the currently offered LL course, or programme at TBU.
LL studies at TBU are charged, the fee for studies in a LL programme shall be specified in compliance with relevant TBU internal regulation.
Proof of payment of fees for studies in a LL programme shall be presented at the commencement of the LL programme, if not agreed otherwise.
LL enables its attendees to complete the relevant courses in the form prescribed for the given LL programme and pass the final examination or defend the final thesis, provided these are prescribed by the LL programme. Those who have completed the LL programme shall be issued with a certificate in the form of “Attestation”, those who have not completed the programme shall be issued with a “Certificate of Attendance”. The form of the certificate may be requested by a relevant body of the state administration or by other institutions.
The issuance of certificates is conditional on payment of all charges related to studies in the LL programme.
In the event that an attendee of a LL programme carried out within an accredited degree programme becomes a student in accordance with the Act, the credits s/he has gained within such programme may be recognized at his/her request up to 60% of credits necessary for due completion of studies to which s/he has been admitted (§ 60 Paragraph 2 of Act No. 111/1998 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions). The request shall be decided upon by Rector or Dean after the relevant Degree Programme Board gives its opinion on the matter. Section 68 of Act No. 111 Coll. applies to the decision.
