Clusters and Cluster Initiatives in the CR and the SR

Between 2 and 3 November 2011, the conference entitled "Clusters and Cluster Initiatives in the Czech Republic and in the Slovak Republic" will take place in the Moskva hotel. The conference is organized by the Centre of Applied Economic Research at FAME within the project “A Cross-border Cluster Initiative for the Development of Creative Industry” and financed from the Operational Programme ‘Cross-Border Cooperation between the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic 2007-2013’.

The conference aims to involve professionals as well as the general public in the issue of clusters in connection with their potential for regional development, innovation and internationalization, with the focus on the development of cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. A specific aim of the conference is to inform regional partners about the cluster initiative in the cultural and creative industries, about the issue of mapping their segments and about development opportunities, including examples of good practice.
