FMC Students Won Gold at Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity
Kateřina Huňová and Hana Kundrátová from the TBU Faculty of Multimedia Communications achieved the greatest success of Czech advertising in the post-revolutionary period, and that in Cannes (France). In the Young Lions Competition intended for younger generation interested in creativity in communications, they took gold in the Media category. Both of them recent graduates from the degree programme in Marketing Communications, they beat 21 international teams that participated in the competition.
Both students repeated their result achieved in the Czech national round. The task in the final round was to develop a communication strategy for the non-profit organization “The International Exchange”. The team of TBU students designed a concept which can also be used as a means of internal communication in the relevant company.
The Young Lions Competition is organized within the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Two-member teams must carry out a particular task during 24 hours without talking to anyone, without using e-mail and making phone calls. Participants must not exceed the age of 28 years. The winners of national rounds advance to the final, which is held during the main event.
