Students Sang at the Christmas Tree
On Wednesday, 8 December 2010 the Student Union and Tomas Bata University organized the traditional event entitled ‘Christmas Tree Illumination Ceremony’ and held in front of the U12 building. The programme involved the arrival of St. Nicholas and his helpers, a performance by the rock choir named “Holy Regiment” and refreshments such as sausages, hot tea and mulled wine available for everyone.
The guests present listened to the speech given by Ms. Anna Zapletalová, President of the Student Union, followed by an address by Doc. RNDr. Vojtěch Křesálek, CSc., TBU Vice-Rector for R&D, who then led the countdown to the lighting of the tree.
Fairy-tale movies were projected in the Otto Wichterle Hall at 18:00. At 21:00 the “Afterstrom” party started in the “Metro” club featuring DJ Marcus Cooper and DJ Mystik Noize.
