‘Talented Students’ Project LaunchedThe first group of students selected at the Faculty of Management and Economics got involved in the educational project entitled ‘Talented Students’ at the beginning of summer semester 2008/09. The main advantage of the project is the Faculty’s close partnership with significant representatives of business and public administration. 25 selected students and representatives of Barum Continental Otrokovice, Deloite Advisory, Flexibuild, MEP Postřelmov, Microsoft Corp., Moravský peněžní ústav, Slovácké strojírny Uherský Brod, UniCredit Bank Czech Republic, The Regional Council of Central Moravia Cohesion Region and Zlín Region met on the premises of the Faculty. Students were offered a number of opportunities, namely in the form of internships, manager shadowing, particular project work that may result in the elaboration of Master’s theses. “Every year, we see a substantial increase in the number of students at the FaME,” says doc. Drahomíra Pavelková, Dean of the Faculty. “We wanted to give the students the opportunity to improve their career prospects,” she added.
The ‘Talented Students’ programme is aimed at students in follow-up Master’s programmes with excellent results, as well as a thirst for knowledge and efforts to achieve their goals.
