Miss Academia 2009 Finalists Revealed
On Friday 23 January 2009 the University Centre in Zlín was dominated by thirty beautiful students coming mainly from Moravian universities, since these beauties took part in the second casting for students to compete for the MISS ACADEMIA ČR 2009 title.“Requirements were the same. Contestants had to cope with a knowledge and intelligence test that makes up 60% of the total score, succeed in the interview with the jury while wearing a black dress and then do a swimsuit walk,” said one of the student project managers, Eva Bouchalová. The jury, headed by doc. RNDr. Vojtěch Křesálek, CSc. - deputy president of the contest, was made up of senior consultant Bc. Jan Mizera, project manager Sandra Čermáková, photographer Milan ©ára, choreographer Ing. Radek Felcman, Director of TBU Marketing and Communications Ing. Andrea Kadlčíková, deputy head teacher of the project Mgr. Petr Podleąák, and Czech Miss 2008 finalist ©árka Frýbortová.
“I decided to enter the contest not only to gain new experience but also to demonstrate that a beautiful girl must not necessarily be an empty-headed person,” said ©árka Cojocarová, one of the girls that took part in the semi final in Zlín.
Immediately after announcing the semi-final results the organizers selected in accordance with the number of points gained the final ten finalists that will fight for the title of MISS ACADEMIA ČR 2009 on 1 April 2009 at the Municipal Theatre in Zlín. Kamila Houfová from the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Jana Marečková from Charles University, Tereza Kučerová from the Czech University of Agriculture Prague, Alena Zdvihalová from the Institute of Finance and Administration, Alena Vejnarová from the University of Economics Prague and Olga Píąová from the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice that participated in the Prague semi-final that was held last week in Hilton hotel made it through to the final. “I was so excited when I heard that I had made it through to the final. I am truly looking forward to the Gala Evening,” Kamila Houfová revealed. The following four girls qualified in Zlín for the final round: ©árka Cojocarová from the University in Ostrava, Lucie Hubaczová and Barbora Mičková from the Masaryk University in Brno and Hana Zatloukalová from Palacký University in Olomouc.
The beauties will have a chance to enjoy one of the first training camps in two weeks’ time during which they will shoot cameos, try dresses and pose for photos. “All the material must be ready well ahead of time, so that we could introduce the finalists to the public prior to 16 February when the voting for MISS ACADEMIA ČR 2009 ON-LINE starts. Those who take part in voting will of course have the opportunity to win a prize by GoGen company,” Bouchalová specified.
