International Students' Day
On Wednesday, 18th November 2009 commemoration events on the occasion of the International Students' Day were held, organized by the Student Union at Tomas Bata University and including the “Staircase Run” competition, a lecture, a ceremonial procession of more than 150 students holding candles and banners in their hands and a speech given by the TBU Rector followed by a fire show.
At 17:00 students began to gather in the square “Náměstí Míru”. At 17:30 a large procession led by Prof. Ignác Hoza, TBU Rector, set off towards the Faculty of Multimedia Communications where Prof. Hoza gave a festive speech to the participants. Afterwards, the surprise of the evening arrived in the form of a fire show accompanied with bongo drums.
The evening concluded with an after-party in the “Klid” club.
