Student Union Invites You to Attend a Gala Evening and ‘Antiball’
The Student Union of Tomas Bata University in Zlín is pleased to invite students to attend the two most remarkable events that will take place in the summer term 2008.
Since the Gala Evening is not about perfectly ironed shirts, shining shoes and formal dresses, but rather about those TBU students that have achieved something exceptional, extraordinary or unique, such students will be awarded a prize at 7 pm on Monday 10 March 2008 in the Assembly Hall of the Academia Centre. Individual students have been nominated by the management of the relevant faculty.
The awards will be conferred in the following 5 categories:
- Scientific and Creative Activities
- Sports Performance
- Contribution to the University
- Spreading a Good Reputation of the University
- Crazy Action
The last mentioned category entitled ‘Crazy Action’ is a specific and genuinely student-initiated category. Students may be nominated till 5 March 2008 via blaznivypocin@gmail.com. The voting will take place during the Gala Evening, however, the winners will be announced at the traditional ‘Antiball’ on Tuesday 11 March 2008 starting at 9 pm in the Golem Club. Come and enjoy a programme featuring the bands called ‘Senzace příštího léta’ and ‘Jivas’. The fancy dress show will be chaired by the ‘worshipped’ Tejklič. Free admission applies only to attendees wearing elaborate masks! We are looking forward to seeing you there!
