Remembering Tomas Bata

An event in memory of Mr Bata entitled ‘Remembering Tomas Bata’ will be held on 16 September 2008 at 11am in the University Centre (U 13). The event will take place to mark what would have been his 94th birthday (17/9/1914 – 1/9/2008). Let’s share our memories of Mr Bata as we knew him: always smiling and full of enthusiasm for life. The event is aimed at 350 invited guests. “Among these will be Mr Bata’s wife Sonja and other members of the Bata family, close colleagues and people who knew him personally. President Václav Klaus has also been invited to attend,” Director of Marketing and Communications, Ing. Kadlčíková, said.

The event in memory of Mr Bata is being organized jointly by Tomas Bata Foundation, Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Zlín Region, Statutory Town of Zlín, Bata Joint Stock Co., Czech Republic, and Tomas Bata Regional Hospital. TBU Marketing and Communications is responsible for the planning and execution of the event.
