The University is preparing an exhibition of insignia and gowns

TBU in Zlín is preparing a unique exhibition of insignia and gowns. The exhibition will be organized on the occasion of this year's celebration of the Day of Struggle for Freedom and Democracy (17th November), and will start on 23rd November 2004 in the Cultural Institute "Alternativa", Osvoboditelů 3778. The insignia and gowns, the traditional symbols of intelligence, will be on display until 27th November 2004.

Ing. Andrea Kadlčíková, the Head of Public Relations Office told us, "The visitors will be able to see the insignia and gowns of the Rector, Vice-Rectors, Chairman of the Academic Senate, and the insignia of all Faculties, their Deans and Vice-Deans. On the first day of the exhibition, the items will be shown in a form of a non-traditional fashion show by our students." She explained further that the purpose of the exhibition is to give the citizens of Zlín a unique opportunity to see the symbols of the University, which are normally to be seen only at official academic events, and thus to strengthen the relationships between the citizens and the University.
