TBU to Co-organize Film Festival Events

Just like in previous years, Tomas Bata University in Zlín is one of the co-organizers of the Zlín Film Festival.

The exhibition entitled “History of Filmmaking in Zlín” will be on display in the University Centre building. On the ground floor the “Internet Café” will be available to all visitors to the festival. The Rainbow Marble workshop and the festival closing party will take place in the same building.

The Assembly Hall in the Academia Centre will host the traditional auction of film clapperboards on Friday and a talk show featuring Jiřina Bohdalová and Alois Náhlovský on Thursday.

TBU has organized two workshops for the visitors to the festival. One of them, entitled “Become a Scientist!”, will be held in the atrium in the University Centre from 09:00 to 12:00 on Thursday, 31 May. Children will have an opportunity to carry out entertaining experiments under the supervision of PhD students from the Faculty of Technology and from the Faculty of Applied Informatics. The other workshop - “Children’s TV Studio” - will be held in the TV studio at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications. Both workshops are open to the general public; children of any age can take part in them.
