Establishment of the Institute of Management and Economics.

 

09/07/1993

On the graduation day at the Faculty of Technology, the Rector prof. Ondráček was asked to express his view on the establishment of TBU in Zlín.

 

November 1993

The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Technology approved the election programme inclusive the University's set-up.

 

27/06/1995

The Academic Senate of University of Technology approved the establishment of the Faculty of Management and Economics (FaME).

 

10/10/1995

During its 19th session, the Accreditation Committee of the Czech Republic Government decided on the Faculty of Management and Economics to be established.

 

September 1996

Department of Advertising developed as a part of the Faculty of Technology.

 

04/06/1997

Department of Advertising was accredited to the Institute of Advertising and Marketing Communications.

 

23/09/1998

The University's project was discussed by the Committee for Economics of the Czech Republic.

 

18/01/1999

The University's project was discussed by the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Management and Economics in Zlín.

 

19/01/1999

The Memorandum on TBU establishment was declared in the presence of senators, representatives, chief magistrates, and heads of Departments for Education in Kroměříž, Uherské Hradiště, Vsetín and Zlín.

 

21/04/1999

An explanatory report was discussed by the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Technology in Zlín.

 

26/04/1999

The explanatory report was discussed by the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Management and Economics.

 

10/05/1999

The explanatory report was discussed by the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Technology in Zlín.

 

25/05/1999

The explanatory report was discussed by the Committee for Petitions, Human Rights, Education and Culture in Zlín.

 

21/06/1999

A requisition of TBU establishment was put forward to the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports.

 

29/06/1999

The explanatory report was put forward to the Accreditation Committee of the Czech Republic Government.

 

11/08/1999

The process of TBU establishment was discussed with the Deputy Minister of Education, Youth and Sports.

 

8. 10. 1999

The explanatory report was discussed with the Committee for Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport of the Parliament of the Czech Republic in Zlín.

The explanatory report was discussed by the Board of Governors of the Brno University of Technology.

The explanatory report was discussed by the Academic Senate of the Brno University of Technology.

Mr. Tomas Bata was asked to allow the University to bear the name of his father.

 

01/11/1999

The TBU Preparatory Committee was established in Zlín.

 

02/11/1999

The explanatory report was discussed by the Scientific Board of Brno University of Technology.

 

16/11/1999

Tomas Bata agreed that the University would bear the name after his father.

The explanatory report was discussed by the Scientific Board of Faculty of Management and Economics in Zlín.

 

November 1999 - February 2000

A bill and the explanatory report on the TBU establishment were prepared at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.

 

21/02/2000

The new chairmanship of the University of Technology accepted the TBU Establishment Bill.

 

29/02/2000

The Bill and the explanatory report were approved by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.

 

06/03/2000

An additional ruling on the Bill started.

 

24/03 - 27/04/2000

The additional ruling was finished and remarks were treated.

 

28/04/2000

The Bill and the explanatory report were put forward to the Czech Republic Government.

 

01/06/2000

The Bill was discussed by the Government Legislative Department.

 

09/06/2000

The Bill was signed by the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports. Then it was put forward to the Prime Minister.

 

13/06/2000

The Bill was put forward to the Chamber of Deputies.

 

10/07/2000

The TBU Establishment Bill was successfully discussed in the first reading.

 

August 2000

Discussion in the Department for Education.

 

September 2000

The second and third reading in the Chamber of Deputies.

 

19/10/2000

The TBU Establishment Bill was passed in the submitted form by the Senate.

 

14/11/2000

The TBU Establishment Law was signed by the President of the Czech Republic Václav Havel.
